Ukraine
Animals in war

A merciless war of aggression has been raging in Ukraine since 2022. The Russians, who annexed the Crimean peninsula years ago and have since occupied parts of four provinces, are now trying to take over further areas of the neighboring country on a front of more than 1000 kilometers. They are covering the entire country with air strikes on villages, towns and the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. This appalling destructive frenzy is causing unspeakable suffering for the people, and unfortunately there is no end to the terror in sight.

In reporting on the horrors of this war, it is often overlooked that the country's animals have also been severely affected by the war. This is why the Ingeborg Brudermann Foundation is supporting Ukrainian animal welfare. This aid campaign is also intended to provide moral support for the Ukrainian animal welfare activists who are not giving up caring for animals in need of help in these terrible times.
